Introduction:
STAR® is
a complete intranet solution, which provides a true ‘Office
Everywhere’ concept. It is built to capture and disseminate
the enterprise vital asset – The Information.
STAR® provides
various tools to publish information, manage documents, conduct
e-training and e-valuations, use work flow for administrative processes,
organize your daily activities, schedule meetings between employees
and facilitate e-mail, discussions on restricted chat rooms and
much more. It brings geographically spread employees into one location
to share, disseminate, approve, reject and upload information.

Product Scope:
STAR® is
a well thought out application that provides every possible option
for an organization to take advantage of the intranet concept. Access
to the features/tools listed below can be customized for each department/user
in an organization through our stringent security system. The features
of STAR are delivered through specific tools.
Knowledge Manager and Collaboration Tools: The
Document Manager, Scheduler and Search features enable the users
to access vital information from anywhere. It allows users to share
information with a defined set of user groups. The powerful search
capability enables to search on information stored anywhere in STAR®
Productivity
Enhancers: STAR provides predefined and Tailored Workflow
process for organizations to automate existing admin process and
to create a paperless office. The workflow contents can be customized
to meet the business rules of the organization. Examples of the
work flows provided are Sales Activity reports, Expense statement
submission/approval/rejection, Leave application request/approval/rejection.
Publishing
Tools: STAR® enables the organization to form a repository
of corporate and department information such as corporate policies,
established procedures, message from CEO, operation manuals etc.
information can be published in the form of text, images or audio
visual files.
Training
Tools: Employees can be trained online through text, images
and audio visual course material. Exams can be conducted online
with immediate access to score cards after completion. STAR®
allows organizations to modify the exams without the help of a programmer.
Communication
Tools: STAR® provides Email facilities which can be
used either through POP3 or SMTP servers, provides outlook synchronization
and a discussion board where private and public chat sessions can
be conducted.
Team
Building Tools: A unique feature called STAR CLUB is available
to provide a channel for socializing. It brings a sense of unity
and often acts as a motivating tool. Some of the features inside
the STAR CLUB are list of employee birthdays and approved greeting
cards, crossword puzzles, company pictures, Tip of the day, approved
